  2. I like that we are all from different levels and different areas around the state. We can share our experiences, and we can see how different schools are working to make the most of their resources. I also like that people are not afraid to address weaknesses, as well as strengths, in their schools. This allows all of us to learn more from each other.

  4. I have enjoyed taking online courses and any student that is thinking about taking online courses should do their research on the class and communicate with the instructor before enrolling. Personally, I would recommend online courses to anyone that has a busy schedule, such as having a full time job or having family responsibilities. Also you are able to gain a wealth of knowledge and they teach you how to become a more disciplined scholar.

  7. This is my third online course and I love it! I love the open dialogue/discussions and the opportunity to gain tools I can add to my tool box. eLearning classes are flexible and designed in a way I can fit them into my busy schedule and the information learned is something I can apply to my job. I have already shared some of the ideas I learned with my faculty and staff. I've even shared some of them with my wife, who is a dentist, and she is setting up her own PLC for her practice.

  8. This is my first E Learning online course, but I have taken a few other courses online while I was pursuing my masters degree. I am enjoying reading the comments from everyone. It's crazy how one person's strengths is another's weaknesses. I am learning so much as I go through this course from the comments and the links that have been given to us. I have really enjoyed reading some of the articles and blogs from this week.

  9. This is the second time I have taken an online course similar to this format. The best thing about classes like this is reading other educator's responses and having a dialogue about issues that are important to each of us. As is expected, we have similarities in the issues that we face but through our dialogue, solutions to problems can be brought to the forefront.

  10. I enjoy online classes mostly because of the flexibility it allows when trying to complete the assignments. Although posting and responding to discussion boards are pretty standard for all classes, it does provide us with an opportunity to collaborate. I've found it very helpful to communicate with fellow educators who teach the same subject or have similar interests as me. It gives me new ideas! Also, communicating with educators who hold different positions than me allows me to gain new perspectives.

  11. I have enjoyed learning about how educators from different areas are using the resources they have to evolve with the changing state of education. It is always most effective to me when you collaborate with those that are in similar circumstances that you are in to learn new approaches to teaching and learning. Engaging in the productive struggle of learning new things is what challenges us to be more effective as educators.

  12. I have taken numerous online classes. I have to say that my first online discussion with this group was informative and interesting to me as an educator. I find the comments from the first session to be helpful and many of the class had the same ideas as I. That is so encouraging to me. We all share many of the same experiences as educators and can relate to some of the issues we face today with the changes that are going on. I think this class is going to be a good learning experience for me. Thank you.

  13. I am enjoying learning more technological tools that are useful in this technology-driving society. I am accustomed to learning all types of strategies and techniques, but it really helps when you are learning things that you can actually use. I also love the interaction among my colleagues and being able to get tips and ideas that I may be able to use.

  15. Browsing through other school leaders' blogs and Twitter posts has been fun and informative. Some of the topics were very much aligned to current personal experiences. Others provided some good food for thought. All in all, it's great to hear/read others' perspectives and thoughts.

  16. I have really enjoyed learning more about the different options that are out there that deals with communicating with teachers, staff, parents, students and the community. These tools can be very beneficial in making your and the other participates day more effective and with less hassle. Our society is hooked on technology and using it to benefit everybody involved can only make the process more efficient and beneficial.
